E1 E1 Blue Mountains Bush Walk
Dear Parents
This is a part of the ‘Joey Adventure Challenge Badge’. Joey, parent’s & siblings are invited to attend. Joeys to wear appropriate bush walking clothing with Joey scarf. I suggest layers that can be taken off or added as needed. (Remember it can be very cold in the mountains, you can also get very warm while walking. ) Bring a back pack, drink bottle, lunch, morning & afternoon tea snacks, $ 2.50 for train, rain coat, hat, suncreen. Joeys to wear sturdy walking shoes. The track can be muddy so don’t wear your best shoes.
We will be catching the train to Wentworth Falls station & completing ‘The Charles Darwin Walk’. Returning to Wentworth Falls station & catching the train back to Westmead station. Train is due to arrive back at Westmead station at 17:00.

The location is past the Parramatta Correctional Facility, at the corner of O’Connell St. and Board St. North Parramatta, where there is a side road leading through a locked gate to the SES buildings.
Please arrive promptly, in full Scout uniform, for the formation of the rotational groups.
Bring a water bottle and a jacket.
Scouts are to be instructed in tying a Bowline and a Barrel knot prior to the night.
Drop off at Boronia Park Rd, Hunters Hill and pickup will be Buffalo Creek Reserve, Pittwater Rd it maybe best to park at Field of Mars reserve car park.
Cubs to wear sturdy walking shoes and bring their own small backpack with rain jacket, snacks, lunch and a bottle of water.
Visit to Cumberland Gang Show, Winners in 2014 of the Daily Telegraph’s Champions of the West, http://www.gangshow.asn.au/. Cast have been rehearsing every Saturday night since February plus 2 weekend camps.
We will meet just inside the main doors near the Box Office at 1.30pm, the show starts at 2.00pm sharp so don’t be late.
Mums, Dads, siblings, friends and Grandparents etc are most welcome too as this is a great family outing. The Cast learn acting, dancing & singing skills and the self confidence to be on a stage has benefited them all enormously.

Discounted parking in the Erby Place Car Park will be available for only $5 upon validation at the Box Office.
Numbers, money and E1’s are required by Wednesday 22nd June to receive the special Cub price.
This year we have Kyle, Laura & Toby from Winston Hills in the Show. Our fearless Group Leader also was in the show when he was a few years younger.
Cumberland Gang Show is a new musical variety theatre spectacular presented by 166 Scout and Guide cast members and LIVE music from a 20 piece orchestra, as they explore just what young people can achieve.
