What is a Scout?

Scouts is for boys and girls aged from 11 to 14 years. There are lots of fun activities that entertain and teach the youth responsibility, leadership and camp craft skills.

The meetings are full of informative training blended in with a fun environment under the guidance of trained leaders. The scouts are expected to take leadership and be involved in the planning and execution of the meetings as well as the many camps.

When?

Thursday 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and a weekend activity every 6 weeks or so.

Scouts work towards earning their peak award the Australia Scout Awardf. Badge placements can be found here.

Outdoor Adventure Skills (OAS) are nine badges covering:

Alpine
Aquatic
Boating
Bushcraft
Bushwalking
Camping
Cycling
Paddling
Vertical

Special interest Area (SIA) are six badges covering:

Adventure and Sport
Art and Literature
Creating a Better World
Environment
Growth and Development
STEM and Innovation

Leadership badges. These are designed for those Scouts showing interest in becoming a leader of the Unit as a Patrol Leader or Assistant Patrol Leader. Unit Leader is available for those showing high degree of leadership.
