The Fee of $40.00 includes a waist tape which you keep for future caving. Please bring your prussik loops.
If you have already done a cave course with us but do not have your own abseiling gear, there is an equipment hire fee of $20.
Successful completion of this course earns participants the Caver qualification.
A pre-requisite for this course is the Abseiler qualification. Minimum age 14 years.

Locations:
Wednesday 12 March at Bundilla Scout Camp, 7 pm to 8.30 pm.
Saturday and Sunday 15 and 16 March at Bungonia Caves. Start 9 am, finish 4 pm (Sat.), 3 pm (Sun.) Supervision of Youth Members is provided by Region Leaders during course hours only.
Camping is available at Bungonia, with toilets and hot showers. There is a daily car fee (about $7) unless you have a NPWS sticker, and a daily per person camping fee of $10.25. Please bring your camping fees in an envelope with your name on it. Please provide correct money as we do not have change in the bush.
Details of suitable clothing, torches, directions etc. will be covered at the theory night.

Cubs will be attending a Survivor Camp at Cataract Scout Park to test their survival skills in the great outdoors. Cataract Scout Park is just 15 minutes past Appin, type in the following link for directions http://goo.gl/maps/aMjK7. Allow approx. 1 hour 20 minutes from Winston Hills.
Cubs are to be dropped off at Cataract Camp SiteΒ 3 (see map) at 9.30am Saturday 15th and collected 3.00pm Sunday 16th March. Site 2 is the 2nd road on the left after you pass the Wardens Cottage. Entry to Cataract Scout Park is via the boom gate, code 2716#. Please save code.
In addition to the normal clothes for a Camp, Cubs MUST also bring:
* swimmers and a towel for the Water Slide plus
* OLD shorts and OLD shoes and another towel for Challenge Valley. Cubs will get soaked and muddy!
Unlike some other Camps on this one your Cubs will have 2 washes π
Parents MUST also sign the Liability Release Form together with this A1 form. See above
ALL food will be supplied.
Note:For the health and safety of others, Cubs are NOT permitted to bring any Food, especially lollies and other Junk Food.
Please note that Mobile Phone reception at Cataract Scout Park is VERY POOR. If you need to contact Leaders, ie your Cub is running late it is best via text message.
A1 Yacht Shop Sailing Day 2014
Dress code. Full Uniform for Travel to and From Venue
Parent transport on the day is essential.
Parents and Family members are permitted to have a go at this activity. We must have numbers & permission notes- No later than 20th February of both Scouts, parents with prior sailing experience to assist in the first hour of activity and any family members wishing to HAVE A GO at sailing 13ft Hobbie Cats. SUCH AWESOME FUN…
Please come dress ready to go on the water,
Please ensure you bring. Spray jacket and a change of dry clothes including socks and undies plus dry shoes and warm jumper .Hat with chin strap (NO BASEBALL CAPS PERMITTED. Water boots or old sandshoes, sunscreen, old T shirt to wear whilst on the water & Towel
You will require Drink bottle water- Morning and Afternoon tea- Lunch.
Parents the boxes for water activities and swimming has been ticked , however we do need you to complete question that states whether your child can swim 50 metres. This is especially important for all those new to scout section so we know if you are a proficient swimmer.
PFD must be warn at all times and supervising leaders instructions must be obeyed to ensure safety on the day. No one is permitted in the water unless approved by Yacht Shop staff who are instructing & running the day.
Scouts will need to transported by parents from Hall to Lake Illawarra and return at the start of day and finish of the day. THIS ACTIVITY IS SUBJECT TO WEATHER BEING SUITABLE AND YACTH SHOP STAFF WILL RING US ON THE MORNING TO ADVISE IF WE NEED TO CANCEL IF IT IS DEEMED TO DANGEROUS.
For Parents who do not wish to sail. Just bring your fold up chair and picnic lunch for family and enjoy this relaxing day out. COFFEE & Tea are available from the Sailing Club next door if you prefer the brewed variety.
