Visit to UWS Penrith Observatory. Cubs will be given a special Cub specific Program, including a 3D Astronomy movie, a tour of the dome area and stargazing or hands-on science activities. Program will run regardless of weather, there is still lots to see and do even if it is cloudy. Cubs attending will be eligible for Level 1 Space Badge.
The cost of this activity is a minimum of $300, therefore Mums & Dads & siblings are most welcome to also attend, cost will also be $10 each. A much better choice than sitting waiting in a cold car. Free tea & coffee is provided for Mums & Dads.

Visit to Cumberland Gang Show, Winners of the Daily Telegraph’s Champions of the West on 3rd July 2014, http://www.gangshow.asn.au/
Imagine (this years theme) is a new musical variety theatre spectacular presented by 166 Scout and Guide cast members and live music from a 20 piece orchestra, as they explore just what young people can achieve when they imagine they can.
Come on a journey of imagination: from a Pirate adventure to Broadway, from a Space Jamboree to African harmonies, from a fun summer on the beach to a trip around the world, and ending up in a medieval comedy with a circus spectacular. Hop aboard, the journey is about to begin…
And if this is not enough ALL Cubs (sorry but not Mums & Dads) will receive a FREE Show Bag. Mums, Dads, siblings, friends and grandparents etc are most welcome too as this is a great family outing. My 3 boys enjoy being in the show and 2014 will be the 11th year for my eldest. Learning acting, dancing & singing skills and the self confidence to be on a stage has benefited them and all other cast enormously. Cast have been rehearsing every Saturday night since February plus 2 weekend camps.
Parramatta Riverside Theatre is located on the corner of Church & markets Streets, Parramatta. Discounted parking in the Erby place Car Park will be available for only $5 upon validation at the Box Office.
Numbers and Money and A1’s are required by Tuesday 24th June to receive the special Cub price. (Tickets can still be purchased (unless sold out beforehand) up to Saturday 5th July).
