Pinball E1

PLEASE NOTE the night is WEDNESDAY 6th March and an earlier finish time of 8:15.

DO NOT drive down the driveway as the house is at the end of a long shared driveway. We will meet on the footpath next to the driveway to 42b Linton Street at 7.00pm and then walk down together. Cubs can then be collected at the house, 42b Linton Street Baulkham Hills.

There is ample on-street parking.

While Leaders relive their youth Cubs will learn about the inner workings of Pinball Machines, their electronics and how LEDs work. The presenter is a Northmead Cub Leader who has over 19 (yes you read correct, not a typo) Pinball Machines in his rather large house.

Parents are most welcome to join their Cubs (for a trip down memory lane).

If they are lucky Cubs will also have the opportunity to play the machines (after being shown how by the leaders).

To register at https://events.greaterwestscouts.com.au/event/208

Meet at Lake Parramatta at 08.30 for a day of picnicking, fun and games paddling in a clean, calm, flat water environment. Participants will need to wear uniform to and from the venue and bring the following: – Lunch, Snacks, Drink, Water Bottle, 2 towels, a change of clothes, warm jumper, water shoes, knee pads or thick foam(for kneeling in the boat they have a hard bottom), rash vest, swimmers, boardies or long shorts, goggles, sunscreen, and a hat.  Participants and parents without water shoes, sunscreen and a hat will not be permitted to participate. Please do not be late as parking is not plentiful (in fact less plentiful than before as some of the car park has become picnic area).

There is a cafe on site and BBQs (which book out pretty fast early in the morning)

Joey Scouts must be accompanied by a parent for the day. Cubs may be accompanied by a leader or parent. Cub participants should be able to tread water, float and swim a minimum of 25 metres using any stroke whilst wearing a life jacket.

Groups are encouraged to bring along Group Canoes, life jackets and paddles.  SIS water activity qualified guides and leaders will be present to help novice paddlers.

We will have a few games where you can practice your skills and have some fun.
