E1_District Campfire 28Jul18

This is the Parramatta District Campfire for Cub Scouts and will be held at 2nd Northmead Scout hall, which is enclosed by a fence and backs onto a bush reserve.

Parents are welcome to attend, but don’t necessarily have to, provided there is are a suitable number of leaders from their Cub pack in attendance. Space is limited around the campfire, so it is preferable that the number of parents in attendance is limited by each pack.

The cost of $7.50 includes a sausage sandwich, a drink and a State Campfire badge. Parents who would like to attend can pay $5.00 for a sausage sandwich and drink if they choose to.

There will be no seating provided and the ground is damp, so Cub leaders should bring a tarp for their Cubs to sit on. Cubs and leaders/ parents may bring a camp chair which will be set up behind the tarp.

Cubs are to wear their full uniform and dress appropriate to the weather.
Cubs should bring a small torch and a water bottle in a small backpack. A camp chair and camp blanket are good (optional) accessories.
Enthusiastic singing voices are most welcome.

Leaders should make sure their pack has 2 (organized) skits ready to present.

We will have the sausage sandwich and drink at the start of the evening, before getting into the campfire proper. So don’t be late.

The 2nd Northmead Scout hall is located in a suburban street, so please be courteous when parking and don’t block any driveways. You may have to park a distance from the hall and walk in. There is no parking in the hall grounds.

If you would like to attend this activity, please fill out page 1 of this form and return it along with your payment to your Cub leader in the first week of Term 3. Parents wishing to attend should let their Cub Leader know at this time and pay $5 (if having a sausage sandwich & drink). All food and drinks is organized and paid for in advance. Last minute attendees will probably miss out, so please advise and pay your Cub leader in the first week back in school term 3.

Hope to see you there.
