Scouts must wear full uniform.

The presentation and tour will include an overview of the role of the NSW Rural Fire Service, a tour of the building and how State Operations work.  The presentation will begin at 7pm.  Late comers may not be admitted.

Parents are welcome to join us.

We are required to give full list of attendees 10 days prior to the event so I will need to know who is coming.

A donation at the end would be a good idea, so bring a gold coin.

FULL UNIFORM TO BE WORN TO AND FROM THE CAMP

CAMP IS A PIRATE THEME FOR THE GROUP

LEADERS WILL BE LEAVING THE HALL AT APPROX. 8.00AM , IF PARENTS ARE ABLE THEY SHOULD ORGANISE CAR POOLING TO REDUCE THE FAMILES DRIVING UP AND BACK. CAN MEET AT THE HALL AND TRAVEL TOGETHER BUT THE CUBS ARE TO MEET AT GLENROCK AT THE START OF THE CAMP AND LEAVE FROM GLENROCK -THE END OF THE CAMP…

THE CUBS WILL BE CAMPING IN TENTS

PLS ENSURE ALL PERSONAL GEAR IS MARKED WITH THE CUBS NAME

PLS ENSURE YOUR CUB HAS A DRINK BOTTLE (FULL ) AND A HAT – THESE ARE A MUST ALONG WITH CLOSED IN SHOES…

SHOES MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES .

THE CUBS WILL NOT BE SWIMMING IN THE OCEAN AT GLENROCK , ITS UNPATROLLED.

THEY WILL BE ON THE BEACH AT TIMES AS WELL AS AT THE LAGOON WITH LEADERS AND PARENTS AT ALL TIMES.

This is a lightweight hike from Newcastle walking south approximately 7kms along the beach & headlands to join the Joeys, Cubs & Venturers for a group camp at Glenrock Scout camp not to far away. This is a terrific Scout property it has its own Lagoon, beach, toilets , showers, dining hall, a big campfire circle & plenty of bush to run around in & explore, all on prime Newcastle real estate. All for the huge sum of $16.00 per night $9.00 for transport to & from by train $5.00 for a cooked dinner with the rest of our scout group thats just $30.00 in total ( no set of steak knives included ) all that you will need to bring is listed below

Boree troop camp E1 part 1 and 2

Camp is located on private property in the lower Hunter Valley approx 2.5 hrs from Winston Hills

All meals from Saturday morning tea to Wednesday  afternoon tea included in $95.00 cost.  We will not be stopping for food on the way to or from camp.

Pack  for five days including a day pack, gear for water activities, wet weather and cold nights.  See Winston Hills web site for packing list. We will be using patrol tents. Camp toilet & shower will need to be constructed.  When in camp you will need  shoes that can be worn in the creek and extra socks.  Brimmed hat must be worn during the day.

Activities may include short hikes, swimming, badge work, camp fires.  There will be lots of free time for exploring and games.  There will be a duty patrol roster.

Mobile phones do not work at the camp site and no recharging is possible.

Any willful damage to to property or wildlife will result in you being sent home immediately.

Full uniform is required for travelling to and from camp.

Numbers will be limited by number of seats in vehicles and towing capacity  First in with both form and cash get a seat in a car.  Note numbers be reached before closing date of 15th September.  Parents should contact Grizzly by phone ASAP to discuss if they are available for transport.
